5/17 is Opening Day & Photo Day

Please read about schedule changes due to the record rainfall and flooding our area has received. Snapshot followed by more details below:

1. Opening Day postponed, moved to Saturday 5/17
2. Photo Day for Teams/Players is Saturday 5/17
3. Thursday's Baseball "Future's Night" is Cancelled
4. Central Park fields closed until further notice

FULL DETAILS:

1. OPENING DAY POSTPONED UNTIL SATURDAY 5/17

Opening Day is unfortunately being postponed until Saturday 5/17. We expect to have a fun day with a T-Ball team parade and banner contest, raffle baskets, 50/50 raffle, games for the kids, food and drinks, special guests, some baseball games, team photos and more! Parade starts at 9am. Keep an eye out for an email with more details.

2. PHOTO DAY IS SATURDAY 5/17

Team photo day is now scheduled on the same day as opening day - Saturday, 5/17. Team time slots will be announced via email and Facebook shortly for team and individual photos with complete information.

3. THURSDAY'S FUTURE'S NIGHT IS POSTPONED

CNS High School Baseball is postponing the Baseball "Future's Night" that was scheduled for Thursday, 5/8. Their fields are also flooded. Stay tuned for updates on that event.

4. CENTRAL PARK FIELDS ARE CLOSED

The fields in Central Park in Cicero are closed until further notice. This will likely continue through this weekend.

This includes ALL practices for all divisions of baseball and softball. No field use is allowed for any reason without league approval.

Already scheduled batting cage practices are still allowed, but must follow batting cage rules and thunder/lightning protocol.

For events at other locations, such as practices and games, team managers will update families on the status.

5. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Opening Day Help on 5/17:
We need people to sign up for time slots on opening day to help with raffles, games, etc.. For those who signed up for 5/10 slots, those will still be on there so you can adjust as needed.

Field Help
If you are willing and able to help repair and prepare fields and facilities, shoot us an email at [email protected] so we can add you to our list of folks who can lend a hand. One thing that will help in the coming week or so is getting people to bring their push mower to the park to mow fields when they are dry enough to walk on. This will speed up our return to playing games on them since we are unable to use heavy mowers.
